Easy Kimchi Pancake Recipe (Crispy & Homemade)

Kimchi pancakes are a classic Korean comfort food.
They are crispy on the outside, soft inside, and very easy to make at home.
This recipe is perfect for a quick meal or a simple side dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped kimchi

  • ½ cup kimchi juice

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup water

  • 1 green onion, sliced

  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil

(Optional: onion, seafood, or chili pepper)


How to Make Kimchi Pancakes

  1. In a bowl, add the chopped kimchi and kimchi juice.

  2. Add flour and water, then mix well until smooth.

  3. Stir in green onions (and optional ingredients if you like).

  4. Heat a pan on medium heat and add cooking oil.

  5. Pour the batter into the pan and spread it thin.

  6. Cook for 3–4 minutes until the bottom is golden and crispy.

  7. Flip and cook the other side for another 2–3 minutes.


Serving Tips

  • Cut into bite-sized pieces

  • Serve hot and crispy

  • Enjoy with soy sauce or a simple dipping sauce

Kimchi pancakes are best enjoyed fresh and hot.
They pair perfectly with rice or as a light snack.
